My summary for essay number three; In a one year, there are worldwide 200,000,000 to 300,000,000 cases of
malaria and 50,000,000 to 100,000,000 reported infections of dengue fever .Killing mosquitos is the only way to lower
these cases of infection and diseased. My information I collected was from Hadyn Parry presentation a fascinating
solution: genetically engineering male mosquitos to make them sterile, and releasing the insects into the wild, to cut
down on disease-carrying species. My augmentative piece would be is exterminating mosquito's into extinction a good
or bad idea.

Research Topic
For the up coming two essays I will be writing about the mosquito and its effect on humanity and wildlife. This subject is interesting to me because I live near a swamp where there are several mosquitoes. The topic of the debate my research will be based on is the new procedure to introduce a genetic variable into the male Mosquito that will make the Mosquito sterile thus eradicating the species as a whole. I have gained some of my research through a Ted Talk I did earlier in the term, and I also have some basic knowledge on this subject.
